English translation of Kanz-ul-Irfan

O group of jinn and men! Did messengers not come to you from among you,[1] relating My verses to you, and warning you about your meeting on this Day of yours? They shall say, “We testify against ourselves.” And they were deceived by the life of this world, and they shall testify against themselves that they were disbelievers.

Commentary

[1]

The prophets sent to humanity were all humans; jinn never attain prophethood. Here, both humans and jinn are addressed together but the wording applies to humankind; the verse does not prove that prophets came from among the jinn. However, human prophets were sent to guide jinn too.
