Now the polytheists shall say, “Had Allah willed, We would not have resorted to polytheism nor would our forefathers, and we would not have declared anything forbidden.” Thus, those who preceded them also rejected until they tasted Our punishment. Say, “Do you have some knowledge that you can bring forth for us? You only adhere to false speculation, and thus you are merely speculating in error.”
