Say, “Indeed, my prayer, and my sacrifices, and my living, and my dying are all for Allah alone; Lord of all the worlds.[1]

Commentary

[1]

This is a true reflection of a believer’s life; his life, death, and worship should only be for Allah Almighty.  Life should be spent doing deeds which please Allah Almighty. Similarly, death should be in a state of faith and if possible, to uphold the word of truth. Worship must not only be free from apparent polytheism, which is a part of creed, but there should be no element of concealed polytheism too like ostentation; worship must be purely for the pleasure Allah Almighty.
