English translation of Kanz-ul-Irfan

Say, “Whose testimony is the greatest?” Say: “Allah is a Witness between me and you.[1] And this Quran was sent to me through revelation so that through it I may instil fear in you and whomsoever it may reach.” Do you testify that there are gods other than Allah? Say, “I do not testify to this.” Say: “He is One God alone, and I reject those whom you equate (with Allah).”[2]

Commentary

[1]

Allah Almighty has affirmed the truthfulness of the Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم in a range of ways: 1. Through the testimony of His chosen people; 2. The declaration of prophethood in Divine Revelation; 3. Granting the Messenger صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم many prophetic miracles. All of these are considered to be confirmations from Allah Almighty of the Prophet’s truthfulness.

[2]

As well as believing in Allah Almighty and His Messenger صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم, a believer must show absolute disaffiliation from false beliefs and opposing religions. One should reject all forms of disbelief, polytheism, and sin, and he should express his faith through his appearance, etiquette, and speech.
