ولا تقولوا لمن يقتل في سبيل الله أموات ۚ بل أحياء ولكن لا تشعرون

اَلْبَقَرَة

Al Baqarah

وَ لَا تَقُوْلُوْا لِمَنْ یُّقْتَلُ فِیْ سَبِیْلِ اللّٰهِ اَمْوَاتٌؕ-بَلْ اَحْیَآءٌ وَّ لٰـكِنْ لَّا تَشْعُرُوْنَ(154)

English translation of Kanz-ul-Irfan

And do not say of those who are slain in the way of Allah that they are dead. Rather,they are alive, however, you do not perceive it (this reality).[1]

Commentary

[1]

The martyrs are undoubtedly alive, although we cannot sensually perceive the full extent of their life. For this reason, they are subjected to the standard rites and injunctions of deceased people.
