الله لا إله إلا هو الحي القيوم ۚ لا تأخذه سنة ولا نوم ۚ له ما في السماوات وما في الأرض ۗ من ذا الذي يشفع عنده إلا بإذنه ۚ يعلم ما بين أيديهم وما خلفهم ۖ ولا يحيطون بشيء من علمه إلا بما شاء ۚ وسع كرسيه السماوات والأرض ۖ ولا يئوده حفظهما ۚ وهو العلي العظيم

اَلْبَقَرَة

Al Baqarah

اَللّٰهُ لَاۤ اِلٰهَ اِلَّا هُوَۚ-اَلْحَیُّ الْقَیُّوْمُ ﳛ لَا تَاْخُذُهٗ سِنَةٌ وَّ لَا نَوْمٌؕ-لَهٗ مَا فِی السَّمٰوٰتِ وَ مَا فِی الْاَرْضِؕ-مَنْ ذَا الَّذِیْ یَشْفَعُ عِنْدَهٗۤ اِلَّا بِاِذْنِهٖؕ-یَعْلَمُ مَا بَیْنَ اَیْدِیْهِمْ وَ مَا خَلْفَهُمْۚ-وَ لَا یُحِیْطُوْنَ بِشَیْءٍ مِّنْ عِلْمِهٖۤ اِلَّا بِمَا شَآءَۚ-وَسِعَ كُرْسِیُّهُ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَ الْاَرْضَۚ-وَ لَا یَـٴُـوْدُهٗ حِفْظُهُمَاۚ-وَ هُوَ الْعَلِیُّ الْعَظِیْمُ(255)

English translation of Kanz-ul-Irfan

Allah, there is none worthy of worship but Him;[1] He is Self-Existing, the Sustainer of others, He is neither affected by slumber nor sleep. Whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth belongs to Him. Who is the one to intercede in His Court without His permission? He knows (about) what is in front of them and what is behind them; and they cannot comprehend anything from His knowledge except that which He wills; His Seat encompasses the heavens and the earth; their protection cannot cause Him fatigue, and He is the Most-Exalted, the Most-Great.

Commentary

[1]

This verse is famously known as the “Verse of the Throne” (Āyat al-Kursiyy). It details core beliefs about Allah Almighty. As one reflects upon this verse, the greatness of Allah Almighty and beliefs related to Him become clearer.
