لَیْسَ عَلَیْكَ هُدٰىهُمْ وَ لٰـكِنَّ اللّٰهَ یَهْدِیْ مَنْ یَّشَآءُؕ-وَ مَا تُنْفِقُوْا مِنْ خَیْرٍ فَلِاَنْفُسِكُمْؕ-وَ مَا تُنْفِقُوْنَ اِلَّا ابْتِغَآءَ وَجْهِ اللّٰهِؕ-وَ مَا تُنْفِقُوْا مِنْ خَیْرٍ یُّوَفَّ اِلَیْكُمْ وَ اَنْتُمْ لَا تُظْلَمُوْنَ(272)

English translation of Kanz-ul-Irfan

Their guidance is not incumbent upon you,[1] of course, Allah guides whomsoever He wills. And whatever good you spend so that is beneficial for you. And only spend to seek the pleasure of Allah. And whatever good you will spend will be recompensed to you in full, and you shall not be wronged.

Commentary

[1]

The Beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم has been sent as a bearer of glad tidings, a warner, and a caller who invites towards salvation. His duty is fulfilled by inviting people. Striving beyond this is not incumbent upon him.
