ثُمَّ اَنْتُمْ هٰۤؤُلَآءِ تَقْتُلُوْنَ اَنْفُسَكُمْ وَ تُخْرِجُوْنَ فَرِیْقًا مِّنْكُمْ مِّنْ دِیَارِهِمْ٘-تَظٰهَرُوْنَ عَلَیْهِمْ بِالْاِثْمِ وَ الْعُدْوَانِؕ-وَ اِنْ یَّاْتُوْكُمْ اُسٰرٰى تُفٰدُوْهُمْ وَ هُوَ مُحَرَّمٌ عَلَیْكُمْ اِخْرَاجُهُمْؕ-اَفَتُؤْمِنُوْنَ بِبَعْضِ الْكِتٰبِ وَ تَكْفُرُوْنَ بِبَعْضٍۚ-فَمَا جَزَآءُ مَنْ یَّفْعَلُ ذٰلِكَ مِنْكُمْ اِلَّا خِزْیٌ فِی الْحَیٰوةِ الدُّنْیَاۚ-وَ یَوْمَ الْقِیٰمَةِ یُرَدُّوْنَ اِلٰۤى اَشَدِّ الْعَذَابِؕ-وَ مَا اللّٰهُ بِغَافِلٍ عَمَّا تَعْمَلُوْنَ(85)

English translation of Kanz-ul-Irfan

Then you are those very people who began killing your own and banishing a group among you, you ˹also˺ aid acts of sin and transgression against them, and if they come to you as prisoners, you ransom them, although expelling them was ˹originally˺ prohibited for you. So, do you believe in some commands of Allah and reject others? So what else is the[1] recompense, for one who does so among you, except humiliation in the life of this world; and on the Day of Judgement,[2] they will be returned to severe punishment, and Allah is not unaware of your actions.

Commentary

[1]

It is necessary to believe in all the teachings of Islam and to comply with its mandatory injunctions. No one is exempt from abiding by the laws of Islam; anyone who considers himself exempt due to his spiritually or something else is a disbeliever.

[2]

To oppose the religion in support of an individual not only leads to punishment in the Hereafter, it is the cause of humiliation in this world too.
