وَ لَقَدْ اٰتَیْنَا مُوْسَى الْكِتٰبَ وَ قَفَّیْنَا مِنْۢ بَعْدِهٖ بِالرُّسُلِ٘-وَ اٰتَیْنَا عِیْسَى ابْنَ مَرْیَمَ الْبَیِّنٰتِ وَ اَیَّدْنٰهُ بِرُوْحِ الْقُدُسِؕ-اَفَكُلَّمَا جَآءَكُمْ رَسُوْلٌۢ بِمَا لَا تَهْوٰۤى اَنْفُسُكُمُ اسْتَكْبَرْتُمْۚ-فَفَرِیْقًا كَذَّبْتُمْ٘-وَ فَرِیْقًا تَقْتُلُوْنَ(87)

English translation of Kanz-ul-Irfan

And indeed We granted Mūsā the Book, and sent Messengers after him in succession, and We granted ‘Īsā son of Maryam clear signs and aided him through the Sacred Spirit (Jibrīl), so[1] ˹ O Children of Israel! ˺ was it ˹ not your way ˺ that whenever a Messenger came to you with commands that you deemed undesirable, you resorted to arrogance, belied a group ˹of Prophets˺, and martyred another group.

Commentary

Allah Almighty helped Prophet ‘Īsā عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلاَم through the archangel Jibrīl عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلاَم – those beloved to Allah Almighty are granted the power to help others.
