اٰلِ عِمْرَان

Al Imran

ذٰلِكَ مِنْ اَنْۢبَآءِ الْغَیْبِ نُوْحِیْهِ اِلَیْكَؕ-وَ مَا كُنْتَ لَدَیْهِمْ اِذْ یُلْقُوْنَ اَقْلَامَهُمْ اَیُّهُمْ یَكْفُلُ مَرْیَمَ۪-وَ مَا كُنْتَ لَدَیْهِمْ اِذْ یَخْتَصِمُوْنَ(44)

English translation of Kanz-ul-Irfan

These are accounts of the unseen which We reveal to you ˹in secret˺;[1] and you were not present among them when they were casting lots with their pens as to which of them will raise Maryam, and you were not with them when they were disputing ˹the right of care˺.

Commentary

It is stated that the account of the Sayyidatuna Maryam رَضِیَ الـلّٰـهُ عَنْهَا is among the matters of the unseen and so Allah has granted knowledge of the unseen to His Beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم. All accounts of previous Prophets عَـلَـيْهِمُ السَّلَام mentioned in the Quran and Sunnah are matters of the unseen.
