Indeed, the most deserving right ˹of affiliation˺ to Ibrāhīm belongs to those who follow him, and this Prophet, and the believers—and Allah is the Helper of the believers.[1]

Commentary

[1]

Three rulings can be deduced from this verse, viz; the nearness of a prophet is attained by obeying him, not by just being from his progeny without faith; Muslims are the real Abrahamic community because the ways of Prophet Ibrāhīm عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلَام are engrained in Islam, such as Hajj, sacrifice, circumcision, and growing the beard; being attributed to the pious is a great blessing from Allah Almighty. Here, the genuine link with Prophet Ibrāhīm عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلَام is a sign of truthfulness.
