The Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم is being addressed here, “O Beloved! You are astonished that the disbelievers have rejected Islam in spite of the clear signs alluding to your messengership as well as resurrection after death. However, the disbelievers ridicule you and your astonishment at this, or they ridicule the concept of resurrection after death. They are advised through various channels, yet they do not heed the advice. When they see a miracle, such as the splitting of the moon, they mock it and deem it as magic.”
