Prior to the arrival of the Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم, the disbelievers of Makkah would claim that they certainly would have been the chosen people of Allah Almighty had they also received a book like the Torah or the Gospel. Not only this, but they asserted that they would have obeyed Allah and worshipped Him with sincerity, and that they would have refrained from rejecting and opposing Him like the previous nations. However, when they received the most noble and inimitable book, i.e., the glorious Quran, these very people rejected it. Soon, they will come to know the consequence of their disbelief.
