Scolding the polytheists, the gatekeeper of Hell will say: “What is the matter with you today? Why do you not help each other today? You were very proud about helping each other in the world.” On the Day of Judgement, the polytheists will not be able to assist one another, whereas the Prophets, saints and pious people will intercede for the people of faith and help them with the permission of Allah. Having said that, it is completely inappropriate for people to rest their hopes on such an intercession and consequently be neglectful of obeying Allah Almighty, fearing Him, and refraining from sin.
