The disbelievers reacted to the news about the tree of Hell with obstinate rejection and denial. They began to criticize the Quran and the station prophethood by asking how it was possible for a tree to be in fire as fire consumes trees. Due to their ignorance, these people did not realise that the Omnipotent Lord can create a creature that not only survives burning, but takes comfort in fire, and Allah has the power to make a tree grow in fire without it being consumed by the flames.
