یٰۤاَیُّهَا النَّاسُ اتَّقُوْا رَبَّكُمْ وَ اخْشَوْا یَوْمًا لَّا یَجْزِیْ وَالِدٌ عَنْ وَّلَدِهٖ٘-وَ لَا مَوْلُوْدٌ هُوَ جَازٍ عَنْ وَّالِدِهٖ شَیْــٴًـاؕ-اِنَّ وَعْدَ اللّٰهِ حَقٌّ فَلَا تَغُرَّنَّكُمُ الْحَیٰوةُ الدُّنْیَاٙ-وَ لَا یَغُرَّنَّكُمْ بِاللّٰهِ الْغَرُوْرُ(33)
O people! Fear your Lord and be afraid of the day when a father will not benefit his child and no child will give any benefit to his father. [1] The promise of Allah is true, so do not let the life of this world deceive you and do not let the arch-deceiver (Satan) deceive you regarding Allah.
Commentary

Without the soundness of faith on Judgement Day, a father will not be able to benefit his children, likewise children will not benefit their father. In fact, deviants of faith will not benefit others. However, if faith is sound, then benefit is hoped for from a pious friend, righteous parents, and virtuous offspring.
