English translation of Kanz-ul-Irfan

And it is He who is Predominant over His people, and He sends guardians over you[1] until when death comes to one of you, Our angels[2] take his soul, and they do not err.

Commentary

[1]

This refers to the angels who record good and evil deed the Honourable Scribes (al-Kirām al-Kātibūn). Every deed is recorded, and the record of deeds shall be read before the entire creation on the Day of Reckoning. On that Day, sins will be a cause of humiliation. May Allah Almighty save us from this, اٰمین.

[2]

Here, “angels” either refers to the Angel of Death, which means the plural form ‘رُسُل is used for honour, or it refers to both the Angel of Death and other angels with him.
