These are the very ˹honourable˺ people who were guided by Allah. So, adhere to their guidance.[1] Say: “I do not ask you for any recompense for it. It is only advice for all inhabitants of the world.”

Commentary

[1]

The scholars have deduced from this that the Beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم has a greater rank than all other prophets عَـلَـيْـهِمُ الـسَّـلَام, as the individual honours granted to the prophets عَـلَـيْـهِمُ الـسَّـلَام were combined for the Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم. He صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم was commanded فَبِھُدٰ ھُمُ اقْتَدِہْ (so adhere to their guidance), and so being the embodiment of the exceptional qualities of all the Prophets, he صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم is the greatest.
