قُلْ اِنْ كَانَتْ لَكُمُ الدَّارُ الْاٰخِرَةُ عِنْدَ اللّٰهِ خَالِصَةً مِّنْ دُوْنِ النَّاسِ فَتَمَنَّوُا الْمَوْتَ اِنْ كُنْتُمْ صٰدِقِیْنَ(94)

English translation of Kanz-ul-Irfan

O Beloved Prophet! Say, “If the abode of the Hereafter with Allah is solely for you, excluding other people, then yearn for death if you are truthful.”[1]

Commentary

[1]

The love of death and the longing to meet Allah Almighty is a trait of the pious, however, to desire death due to worldly challenges opposes patience, submission, and trust (in Allah Almighty), and is impermissible.
