اٰلِ عِمْرَان

لَیْسُوْا  سَوَآءًؕ-مِنْ  اَهْلِ  الْكِتٰبِ  اُمَّةٌ  قَآىٕمَةٌ  یَّتْلُوْنَ  اٰیٰتِ  اللّٰهِ  اٰنَآءَ  الَّیْلِ  وَ  هُمْ  یَسْجُدُوْنَ(113)

English translation of Kanz-ul-Irfan

All of them are not the same. There is a group among the People of the Book who are steadfast upon the truth; they recite the verses of Allah during moments of the night and they prostrate.[1]

This verse alludes to the excellence of supererogatory night prayer (Tahajjud) as those worshippers who awaken during the night have been specifically praised. Generally, the night prayer can refer to both ʿIshā and Tahajjud.
