HR Background

English translation of Kanz-ul-Irfan

They are rejoicing due to the Favour of Allah and Grace; and ˹upon this˺ that Allah will not annul the reward of the believers.[1]

Commentary

[1]

From here onwards, the merits of martyrs are detailed in several verses such as, it is not permitted to consider them dead as they are alive, they are in the nearness of Allah Almighty, they are granted sustenance, they are extremely happy, and they are basking in the grace, reward, favour, and honour bestowed upon them. They are content with the wonderful life given to them after death. They also celebrate the fact that, after them, their Muslim brothers (who remain in the world) are steadfast upon faith and piety; after martyrdom, they too shall attain these privileges, and they shall be raised with peace on the Day of Judgement.
