اَلصّٰٓفّٰت
As Saffat
بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ
Allah's Name to commence with, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
In the name of Allah, the Infinitely Gracious, the Most Merciful.
وَ الصّٰٓفّٰتِ صَفًّا(1)
By the oath of those who arrange themselves in proper rows.
By those who have made orderly rows.
فَالزّٰجِرٰتِ زَجْرًا(2)
And then by those who drive by scolding.
Then by those who impel with force.
فَالتّٰلِیٰتِ ذِكْرًا(3)
And by those groups who read the Qur'aan.
Then by those who recite the Quran.
اِنَّ اِلٰهَكُمْ لَوَاحِدٌﭤ(4)
Indeed, your God is definitely One.
Indeed, your Lord is One.
رَبُّ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَ الْاَرْضِ وَ مَا بَیْنَهُمَا وَ رَبُّ الْمَشَارِقِﭤ(5)
The Owner of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them, and the Owners of the Easts (i.e. every point of the sun's rising).
Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them and Lord of the points of sunrise.
اِنَّا زَیَّنَّا السَّمَآءَ الدُّنْیَا بِزِیْنَةِ ﹰالْكَوَاكِبِ(6)
We have indeed adorned the lowest sky with the decoration of stars.
Indeed, We adorned the lowest heaven with stars.
