مَا یَلْفِظُ مِنْ قَوْلٍ اِلَّا لَدَیْهِ رَقِیْبٌ عَتِیْدٌ(18)
He does not utter a word except that there is a guardian angel ready near him. [1]
Commentary

Allah Almighty is independent of the angels’ writing because nothing is hidden from Him, He is even aware of the inner whispers of the lower self. However, the wisdom behind the writing of the angels is that on the Day of Judgement, every person will be given his book of deeds in his hands.
