اِنَّ فِیْ ذٰلِكَ لَذِكْرٰى لِمَنْ كَانَ لَهٗ قَلْبٌ اَوْ اَلْقَى السَّمْعَ وَ هُوَ شَهِیْدٌ(37)
In this there is counsel for one who has a heart or lends his ears while he is attentive. [1]

One can only gain benefit from counsel and advice if his heart is receptive to advice and he listens carefully.
