Allah's Name to commence with, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
In the name of Allah, the Infinitely Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Qaaf. (This is an individual letter of the Arabic alphabet; Allah and His Messenger know its exact meaning.) By the oath of the Glorious Qur'aan.
Qāf, by the Glorious Quran.
Rather, they were shocked that a warner came to them from amongst them, so the disbelievers said, 'This is something strange.'
Rather, they were astonished that a warner came to them from among them, so the disbelievers said, “This is a strange matter.
'What! When we die and will be turned into dust, will we be raised again? This return is far (from our understanding).'
When we shall die and become dust, (will we be resurrected?); this is a far-fetched return.”
We know whatever the earth reduces from them (i.e. from their bodies in the grave), and with Us is a Book that records (everything).
We know what the earth consumes from them; and We have a Preserving Book.
Rather, they belied the truth (i.e. the Qur'aan) when it came to them, so they are now in an unstable state of confusion.
Rather, they denied the truth when it came to them, so they are in a confused state.
So, did they not see the sky above them; how We made it and adorned it, and there is no crack in it?
So did they not look towards the sky above them how We created it and adorned it and there are no rifts therein.
And (how) We have spread the earth, and placed (mountains as) anchors in it, and have grown all kinds of delightful pairs (of plants) in it?
And We spread the earth and anchored it with mountains and We brought forth every beautiful pair therein.
An insight and an understanding, for every bondsman who returns (to the truth).
Insight and counsel for every returning individual.
And We sent down blessed water from the sky, so We produced gardens therewith, and grain that is harvested.
And We sent down blessed water from the sky, then We brought forth with it gardens and crops which are harvested.
And (made) tall date trees with ripe fruit piled over one another in layers.
And tall date palms which have layered clusters.
As sustenance for the bondsmen, and with it (i.e. rainwater) We revived a dead city; this is how you are to emerge from the graves.
Sustenance for people and through it, We gave life to a dead city. Thus will be the emergence ˹from your graves˺.
