اَلْبَقَرَة

Al Baqarah

تِلْكَ اُمَّةٌ قَدْ خَلَتْۚ-لَهَا مَا كَسَبَتْ وَ لَكُمْ مَّا كَسَبْتُمْۚ-وَ لَا تُسْــٴَـلُوْنَ عَمَّا كَانُوْا یَعْمَلُوْنَ(141)

English translation of Kanz-ul-Irfan

That is a nation that has passed; their deeds are for them and your deeds are for you, and you will not be asked about their actions.[1]

Commentary

In this, there is a lesson for those who stay away from righteous deeds and are engaged in sin while relying on the good deeds of their parents, shaykh, or someone else.
