Allah's Name to commence with, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
In the name of Allah, the Infinitely Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Ta-Seen-Meem. (These are individual letters of the Arabic alphabet; Allah and His Messenger know their exact meanings.)
Tā Sīn Mīm.
These are the verses of the Luminous Book (i.e. the Qur'aan).
These are verses of the illuminating Book.
Perhaps you may put your life at risk (O Beloved) by grieving over them because they did not believe.
˹Dear Beloved Prophet,˺ perhaps you will end your life with ˹this˺ grief that they do not embrace faith.
If We will, We could henceforth send down upon them a sign from the sky so that the stuck-up ones amongst them would remain bowed before it.
If We will, We may send down upon them a sign from the sky, then their major chiefs would be lowered before it in humility.
And new advice does not come to them from the Most Gracious, but they turn their faces away therefrom.
There does not come to them any new advice from their Lord except that they turn away from it.
So, they have indeed belied; the news (of punishment) is now about to come of their mockery.
So they certainly denied, now the news of what they were mocking will come to them.
Have they not seen the earth, how many significant pairs We have grown in it?
Did they not look towards the earth, how many excellent pairs We made grow therein?
Indeed, in this there is definitely a sign, and most of them are not to believe.
Certainly, in this there is a sign; and most of them are not believers.
And your Lord; indeed, definitely only He is the Dignified, the Most Merciful.
And surely your Lord is the Most-Exalted, the Most-Merciful.
And remember when your Lord called Moosa; that 'Go to the unjust people.'
And ˹remember˺ when your Lord called Mūsā, ˹saying,˺ “Go to the oppressive nation.
'Who are the people of Fir'awn. Will they not fear (the punishment of Allah)?'
The nation of Pharaoh; will they not fear?”
He said, 'O my Lord, I fear that they will belie me.'
He said, “O my Lord! Indeed, I fear that they will deny me.
'My chest is tightening, and my tongue does not function (smoothly), make Haaroon therefore a Messenger also.'
And my chest will be constricted, and my tongue is not fluent, so make Hārūn a messenger too.
'And they have a charge against me (for killing one of their men); so, I fear that they may kill me.'
And they have an accusation against me, so I fear they will kill me.”
He (Allah) said, 'It is not so; both of you go with Our verses. We are with you, listening.'
He (Allah) said, “Certainly not, so both of you go with Our Miracles, indeed We are with you, All-Hearing.
'So, go to Fir'awn, then say to him, “Both of us are Messengers of the Lord of all the worlds.”'
So go to Pharaoh and say, “We are both Messengers of the Lord of all the worlds;
